Actually, from what I've read and heard, Nixon interferred with the Paris peace negotiations to end the Viet Nam War in 1968 and prolonged it for another seven years. Per The Atlantic Monthly and History Channel. He did so to help his election prospects in 1968. He felt as though Hubert Humpry would get a major boost if Johnson was successful in ending the Viet Nam war before the election. So, he contacted the South Viet Namese and told them to hold out until a Republican administration was in power and they would get a better deal at the peace table. Unfortunately, that isn't how things worked out and the war went on for another seven years. :-(

The false accusation was that George Bush was the worst President. I was simply pointing out that the worst presidents were democrats. You didn't see Johnson trying to get us out of VietNam, did you? Nixon actually did it.
