Jim,

Generally, the best outcomes is when the rules are followed. I would not be terribly upset if the rules were bend for some hard reason, such as the candidate dies or is incapacitated. But to throw the rules out of the window, just because the bad polling data is a little bit too much.

I guess winning at any cost is now the permanent mantra of the liberals.

Joe

RE:"I think the Republicans are going to petition the federal courts. Even if the federal courts decide not to hear the case, it amounts to an endorsement with federal (beyond NJ) implications."

Irregardless, the Dems are setting the Pubs up to be the bad guys. They will portray the Pubs as a party that's against fair elections and the right for people to have a choice at the polls. They have no regard for they law if it does suit their agenda. We learned that in FL and continue to learn it in other areas of law.

Once again what happened to the Reps. states' rights platform? When it comes to winning, screw the principles, huh?

I guess those NJ residents who don't want to vote for the Forest will just have to abstain this year. If only the Reps. had put up a decent candidate......instead we have K. Harris's distant cousin.

What do you think the Reps. will do if Torricelli resigns from the Senate......sue the state?
