I think there were some bearish comments about NG prices and the level of E&Ps on this thread back in Spring of 2001 when prices got ahead of themselves. Few people on this thread though $10 MCF was sustainiable. There were also some discussion about over extended companies with too much debt, and some shorting of said companies in Summer 2001 if I remember correctly.

There is a bullish bias to this thread, but I think some of that is reasonable, since money stayed away from energy since around 1997-1998 as the tech boom took off.

That being said, there is a bit of a bullish bias here. If the world economy keeps dropping, I think you will see
more bearishness.

I have to say that I am really happy with both BBR and HTP.

Both have made me money and kept me from losing money.

I'd like to find about 3 more threads like these.

Best Regards, energyplay

FWIW department. Went long several issues in the past couple days WG,NR,TMAR,CMS,PKD,TK and a few thinly traded names. Thinking we are due for a pop in here.

Trading positions only since I tend to agree with you that the trend remains down. That said rally's in bear markets can be fast and furious. Think we're due for one here.

Margin is not nor ever will be something I use. No matter how confident I feel about an issue.

I certainly appreciate your's and dabum's TA posts and perspectives on same as they have both made and saved me money.

Also well aware you aren't perma anything.

Scott

Darn KB did I strike a nerve or something with 5 little letters? Researching back through May for things that I have posted and you have said supporting your position?

The intent of my comment was just to indicate that you were correct but that I wondered if in some of your bearish speculations if you were not expecting too much.

I have said many times that I am holding from here until OSX 135 or so, trading as best as I can.

I dont need to be bailed out, on a relative and absolute basis I have done okay. I have averaged 10% returns over the last three years. I would have done allot better if I exited in May 2002 or even may 2001, but all things considered I cant complain.

I have shorted energy many times, dont you recall us talking a few weeks ago about our positions in PTEN.

I am a little surprise that my comment has sparked such a response from you.
