I understand what you are talking about. It's like after we bought our first house. Money was TIGHT. (This is SILICON VALLEY! If real estate was ever cheap here, it was before I got here. And I've been here since silicon was discovered here. :-) ) We did what we could and had to to save money. I started and worked several garden patches. Did whatever work I could on the cars. We painted the house and did some renovation and remodeling ourselves. Everything had a purpose. It was all clear. And I wouldn't go back. we had millions of friends (a few of whom we really liked!) LOL!!!!
