Yes it is possible to ride the bollinger down (or up as you point out). We did ride it down a bit after the first bounce after the Aug rally peak. I wish there were some way to determine when it is likely to ride it.

I find it hard to believe that all the apparent bullish sentiment will reverse quickly enough, and extensively enough, to give us an very quick down move to the gap fills. But then again the sentiment did shift extremely quickly going into the beginning of this rally, so I guess it is possible.
