I tend to agree. we pay taxes, why not have a say in how those tax $s are spent ?

When I was in NZ, I didnt need to be a citizen : just had to be living there for 1 year, to vote.

Wonder which lamebrain thought that proposal up? Sure, we "could" let the entire world come in to vote in our election as well....by that logic....<very sarcastically said>

If the people who are here, don't like it, they can leave, IMO. If they want to become US citizens, they can vote. There is NOTHING to prevent aliens from becoming citizens of the US, if they are legally here and can prove they aren't criminals.

I don't see any grey on this issue myself, and will actively work (money and time) to prevent something like this from happening.
