I was relieved when they starved themselves to death in Maze prision - each dead one reduced the probability of more innocent victims. The IRA confirmed their status many times over, hitting the jackpot with Omagh. Finally, with the destruction of the Twin Towers, Americans wised up and stopped sending money to the IRA and figured out that murdering innocent people wasn't good form.
