Thanks. That was an interesting explanation. So the monarch picks the PM when Parliament can't and has an absolute veto power.

Its quite likely that the Iraqi folk after the Saddam experience would rather not have a ruler and move directly to a modern state - that's what the opposition, both inside and outside the country, say and they should know.
I would think that would be true. This also avoids the legitimacy question- -a President or PM is automatically legitimate.
