frankw1900 - A country's support for another country, or its lack thereof, has to be the result of a risk/benefit analysis and not "they are modern so let's support them".

If you look at it in this light, you will see as well that there is no real reason for the US to face the enormous RISKS that come with its unconditional support of Israel and there is practically NO BENEFITS.
