Carl, CB is prone to doing that. Misquoting people, extracting meaning not intended and then showing that the person is wrong to think that.

I suppose that's legalese ethical standards for winning courtroom battles. Seeking the truth isn't the primary goal. It's winning that matters. Life as a zero-sum game of dominance hierarchy and confiscatory territoriality, rather than a voluntary, synergistic, symbiotic, co-operative effort to maximize happiness where opportunities are endless.

Yes you are prone to doing that CB! I've seen you do it a few times.

Language is tough to use to transfer ideas, so it's not surprising that misunderstanding abounds. Usually, the misunderstandings are not deliberate attempts to deceive or redesign the truth.

A glance at ourselves shows

I would love to be a fly on the wall in Saddam's room right now. A fly which understood Arabic, of course.

I have no doubt that his "local government" is of the opinion that the presence of the US military "isn't wanted."

According to the Japanese, we "weren't wanted" in their end of the Pacific, and the German "local government" didn't want us in their end of Europe.

Too bad.
