Movies that stick with me.

I love Duval. "The Apostle" and "Tender Mercies." I drove 100 miles to see "The Great Santini" when it came out. I love the book and the Movie.

I have seen "LA Confidential" 15 times by now. Not only a great Movie, but I love the period so much. The Hair, clothes, and set dressing are outstanding. When Spacey asked the Producer who would have played his character if it had been shot in the '50s, he was told "Dean Martin." After seeing that Movie, I went to the tapes and rented everything that Russell Crowe and Kevin Spacey have made.

Other recent favorites. "The Green Mile" "Matrix" "Chocolat" "The Sixth Sense" "Saving Private Ryan"

If you are interested in "the process of transformation", you definitely have to see some Cronenberg movies - Crash, Naked Lunch, eXistenZ...
