We fortunately just reelected a judge who does believe in leniency for first time offenders. He defeated a very law-and-order candidate. It was an interesting election, but my guy won it comfortably in the end.

This is the only function that the government really excels in. All and I mean all other activities are either inefficient or counterproductive. Some are necessary(defense,courts,) but most others are useless or negative to the country.
JMHO
