The conditions present in a house/home are generally reflected in the attitudes and behavior of the house hold members and vice versa. The same could be said of a community or society at large. The finger pointing at kids, parents, teachers, society, etc is in part on target. It doesn't go far enough and is too selective. It is also counter productive. The conditions reflect a general melt down in the relevant sectors of society. Student success is everybody's business and requires every one of us/them to accept ownership. The finger pointing is evidence that we are still not ready to accept that.
