What do you say now?

I say that there are all kinds of interpretations to various passages of the Bible; but these acts are not carried out in barbaric fashion today. As previously stated, Christ NEVER suggested that one person should kill another.

What do you say when a woman is stoned to death for adultery because of some god-forsaken Islamic law? This is not some fringe grouping of Islam.

You can accuse me of "not knowing what I'm talking about", but you can't argue with the facts.

He didn't say the Bible doesn't suggest violence he said that Jesus didn't say that people should kill each other. The quotes you made where from the old testament. Finding the quotes in the Bible may be enough to make the point you want to make, but it doesn't specifically refute David's statement. You might try to argue that his statement is true but that it is unimportant in the context of the old testament quotes you can provide. I'll leave that to you and David to hash out...

Mani, <Nothing disgusts me more than when people speak with authority about topics they know nothing about.>

I sure hope you know that you took those Bible verses out of context.

And David is right. Christ NEVER suggested that one person should kill another. Those verses you quoted were from the Old Testament, specifically the books that Moses authored.

Do you think Chris would suggest following the Bible? Here is what the Christian Bible says:

The problem is probably not with the Bible or the Koran or the Book of Mormon, or whatever credo people who need to belong to a religion read...it is with the men who interpret these books to suit their so human attributes and incite their followers to ghastly deeds of varying degrees. OBL is an extreme example...Falwell and other evangelists of discord are measures of the same kind the world would frankly be a good deal better without.

Mani,
You're getting a bit defensive. Have you had a lot of Peer pressure lately?
Do they ask you why a good Islamic person would want to live in the USA in the first place?
