Hi KLP - I am staying off my feet as much as possible but sometimes I have to get up and do something, e.g., go to court which can't be avoided. The house is a terrible mess and we are eating takeout.

I will probably have a very bad scar, but the wound is healing and no infection.

As to arthroscopic surgery for your knee - there has been some recent research that suggests that treating osteoarthritis of the knee with arthroscopic surgery is not better than placebo.

Dr. Mirkin, a local celebrity doctor with an opinion about everything, recommends against arthroscopic surgery of the knee unless you have a torn tendon or the knee locks up when walking or you cannot fully bend or straighten the knee.

Dr. Mirkin is a character so I don't give him 100% credence, just passing it on FWIW.
