So you are saying that its okay to have 6 white cops beat the shit out of a black man because he's a black man and a drunk. Am I getting that correctly?

I don't want to argue this point with you,

I understand.

so I'll clarify the example. The officers where way, way out of line in the King incident -- but there is ZERO evidence to suggest that it was a racist act. Zero. Just because six white cops beat up a doped unruly black man who was fighting them, does NOT make it a racist incident. The six white cops might well have beaten Rodney King in the same circumstances were he white.

Does it matter that the LAPD has had a history of not dealing well with the different races in LA?

(It is interesting to me the way liberals have this varying standard of proof, depending on who's at fault -- if it is a black criminal being beaten, the burden of proof is light -- mere coincidence is sufficient -- while if it is a white police officer who was shot by a black man, the burden of proof is the much higher "beyond reasonable doubt" standard), or in the OJ case, there is NO standard of proof which can result in a conviction. Liberalism at its worst.

What about when the NYPD bumfucked a black with a baton? do you think they would treat a white man the same way? How's that for a standard of proof? How about when three guys took off the arm of a black man in TX and then dragged him behind their car until he was dead? They couldn't find a cat so they decided a black man would do but really it wasn't a racist act? Or do you find that one an acceptable standard of proof? How about when two guys crucified a gay man in WY? Were they just two religious zealots or is that a reasonable standard of proof? How about the woman who got gang raped in MA........she was wearing a short skirt? They thought she was a 'ho......does that make it okay?

What is your standard of proof?

If the 6 male cops didn't show up on the scene Rodney King might be dead. The first officer to confront him a woman, when he acted agressivly she probably would have shot him if the other officers didn't take control. Once they took control they where probably going to have to use some violence but at least he didn't get shot. However after using a justified if seemingly extreme level of violence they probably kept it going a bit too long.
