I am always amazed to see how quickly the Presidency ages a man.

GWB looked very strained tonight.


Interesting, I didn't notice that. He looked like the same guy I met in Tacoma a couple of years ago. He did look very serious.

One thing that struck me about the speech was the comparison between Clinton's. There were no 'smoker' type joke attacks toward the opposing party which Clinton loved to do. He seems to be trying to set a new tone in Washington. I appreciated that.

GWB looked great.

The man runs 3 miles in 22 minutes and has a resting heart rate of 44.... (Just read that in a running mag at the health club).

I'd say he's doing fine.

I'm more amazed how a presidency transforms speakers... good become great, great become excellent...

ps: Carter doesn't count- he started and ended weak. Now he is just charmingly weak.
