I'm more amazed how a presidency transforms speakers... good become great, great become excellent... Now if we could just get him to actually hold a press briefing and take questions.

The reason he looked like a good speaker was because of the teleprompter. and practice, practice practice. That speech was modular. Made up of modules he has practiced before. The only part new was about the rapes. Too bad he didn't mention the deficit and that Harvey Pitt is still running the SEC and trashing all the legislative changes made by congress. To bad he didn't care to mention the stock market level, the budget problems of the states and cities, the federal deficit, the number of jobs lost, the unemployment level, his plans on affirmative action and Roe V.
