This logic doesn't, of course, follow from my statements.

If liberals are liars, and Nixon was a liar, that makes Nixon a liberal?

No. But by the time he became president his domestic agenda was hardly conservative, with things like wage and price controls and increase in affirmitive action and government spending and other ideas conservatives dislike.
