I was away over Christmas to Puerto Rico and St. Maartens. I'll dash you off a pm when I get a little time. I'm having a couple of couples over tomorrow to plan something together for next February. We're planning a sort of fondue in broth in an electric wok where you use the broth after as soup. My girlfriend's idea, and it sounds good to me since she will be preparing the broccoli, cauliflower, etc! My job is to buy the stuff and make the pina coladas for which I am rather famous...:-) I've bookmarked the gateway site. It looks like just the thing for those impulse trips where you turn and say: "Hey! Lets get the hell outta here for a week or two!"

Hi E, I've enjoyed reading your Venice posts, but let's cut to the really important stuff, shall we? How was the food? Did you try the local red wine, which is a little frizzante? How about the seafood? What do you think of Italian garlic? It seemed less bitter to me.
