Your fondue dinner sounds wonderful. I hope you've got plenty of crusty French bread as well. I had ten writers over yesterday for our new bimonthly writer's group. Of course, me being me, I cooked for a full day: a four-cheese pasta dish with smoked tofu and tomatoes, arugula salad with citrus vinaigrette, fresh pineapple, heart-shaped sandwich cookies filled with raspberry, currant or apricot jam. Oh, and mulled cider and wine. And the discussion wasn't bad either. A playwright had us read a few scenes from a play she's written about the mercury poisoning 'epidemic' in Japan in the 1960's. And I did my first preformance piece, an apocalyptic rewrite of Wallace Stevens' "Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird."
