Ted, <You have to be like Powell, not Bush and Rumsfield to make it work.>

Even Powell, once the "dove" of the administration, is sounding more hawkish these days. And France and Germany are snubbing Powell and acting like the burden of proof is on him. Even the press and many Democrats are losing patience with our European "brothers."

<Europe and I will never agree with you entirely because neither of us believe that Saddam is the real problem.>

Europe isn't taking seriously the U.N. resolution calling for Iraq's disarmament. Obviously they believe in it, which means they believe Saddam is indeed a real problem. But they don't have the will to enforce it because frankly they don't have the ability to. And it seems they'd let more terrorist attacks occur, possibly using Iraqi-made weapons, before they start running to America for help.

Every other argument you've made in support of Europe (Iraq is taking focus away from Al Qaeda, Bush is uniting Saddam and Osama, Germany knows more than America) is bogus and demonstrates a view that Europe public opinion can't possibly be wrong.

Europe and I will never agree with you entirely because neither of us believe that Saddam is the real problem.

Which Europe? Old Europe, which includes France and Germany (whose butts we saved and don't appear to remember it), or New Europe, in which France and Germany are operating unilaterally against the rest of NATO?

Europe DOES agree that Saddam is the real problem, and that is why they are WITH the United States, not against us. Only these two European renegades who have political interests in Iraq are protesting our actions.
