I heard Gephardt in an interview last night, he said the first action he would take is to stop any tax cut program not already given, might even have said he'd undo some, not sure.

So the rich are rich because someone gives them money? What a moron. Most earn their money. Not seizing more of their money is not "giving it to them" Something you half-wit liberal crybabies will never understand.

RE: if the economy can get going again the rich will be the first beneficiaries with their stocks going up.

Over 50% of Americans are invested in the stock market. Does that mean they are all rich!

Apparently, I am one of the "rich". I don't get paid with any regularity, but I'm "rich". Take it from me when I tell you that the more comfortable I feel, the more willing I am to deploy capital. I am not comfortable right now, and my business (see employees) is being impacted by tight money. Open the valve, and you'll see the increase.

I think the problem with most Americans is that they believe the top 1 or 2 percent are all super wealthy. That's simply not true as a generalization.
