Kissing ass is not a contribution.
Perhaps that needs to be pointed out to the French. The last time they tried that approach, they ended up with Panzer divisions ripping through their countryside. Not likely to be their countryside this time, though. They'll scream to NATO for help and American and Canadian boys will get to save their sorry a$$es again.

If Hitler had needed to justify his agression (because of the "Jews" or whatever)...would he have been sanctioned to go ahead with subjugating other countries?
Well, d**n! Where was the League then? Why didn't they call him on the carpet?

And move troops. Had French and British troops met those German troops moving into the Rhineland in 1935, that probably would have been the end of it. Hitler likely would have been overthrown by the military. Those German troops had secret orders to withdraw if they met opposition.

As you know....most of his actions were done without any consultation with the US...
And a fair chunk of what he did that caused trouble were specific violations of the Versailles Treaty that Britain and France did not call him on. Although Britain gets some credit here. Their initial impulse was to do just that, but the French as usual would not back them.
The US was not a party to the Versailles Treaty.
