I've been listening to the post-selection discussion on ESPN. They asked a panel to select which five seed would most likely go down in the first round. The overwhelming choice was UConn to BYU. Given how UConn was favored over #5 Pitt, it just seemed obvious to me that the selection committee probably wouldn't think the Big East was very formidable this year and thus downgrade Pitt to a two seed.
