" just because the fight is such a mismatch. "

So far..so good.

But it now raises a more serious question that I believe has the WH concerned :

If Iraq was such a threat to world peace, why is it being so easily overwhelmed in such a short time?

This question will raise its ugly head looking for answers if things continue this way and nothing of consequesnce is found in Iraq.

Yep.

In An Najaf, 95 miles from Baghdad. They are really moving fast.

The lesson the Hegemon's enemies are going to learn (again), is that the only way to oppose the U.S. is through guerrilla warfare (contrast the failure of the Republican Guard with the success of Hezbollah, to hold the ground they contest).

And the other way, is to develop nuclear weapons, before the Hegemon learns about it and does Regime Change on you.

I must admit to being pleasantly surprised, at the lack of Al Queda (or imitators) activity. There has been little follow-up to 9/11, that has turned out not to be the first in a series. And if Al Queda had the capability, they surely would have used it by now.
