"You are the only person on SI who does not understand what many people have tried to tell you."

I completely understand clappy. Folks just hate being faced
with the reality that they have repeatedly lied, deceived &
distorted & the facts. And when I present irrefutable proof
of this it really pisses those people off. Nothing hurts
worse than the truth under those circumstances.

"But you just don't seem to get the point and
you probably never will due to your hard headedness."

Oh I get it clappy. The point was that as our discussion
progressed, you couldn't stop fron resorting to wild
unsupportable specultaion that has absolutely no basis in
fact. I pointed it out & you have to resort to the oh so
typical name calling & derrision rather than resuming a
factual, honest discussion.

Here are a few clappyisms spoken recently. They are his
own words so he should not have any problem having them
repeated here to give our recent discussion some
background..............

claptonsguitar said the following recently........

"Are all you humans as stupid as that fuckin' president of yours?"

"Shrub did everything he could think of to get this war."

"I hope the news media continues to show it in as horrid as
it is so that many will understand why we should never do
anything like this again. This is just terrible.

Bush has blood on his hands. This should have never happened."

"Our President is exercising his Moral responsibility to the people in his pocket. Big Oil and the defense industry."

"I just can't but feel that this war is a convenient solution to a problem. Convenient for the administration. And as it works through we will see that it was not all that convenient. And as more problems arise from this war, the more they will try to solve it with force instead of diplomacy. Greed does horrible things. That's what this war is about. Greed. But how do you stop greed?"

:roserrsp posted this.....

let's have a thought tonight for the innocent
people of iraq who are about to experience
hell perhaps as early as tomorrow in the
form of daisy bombs and MOAB filled with
shrapnel exploding in their midst.

clappy responded......

I don't think we aim to drop those on the innocent people of Iraq. Only on the ones who are guilty of being patriotic and love their country so much they are willing to defend it. They got it coming to them.

"The Bush Admin failed at diplomacy because it want to. There weren't the proper incentives to succeed........ It's all about incentives. You find what you want to find. You succeed when you want to succeed.

So when we begin to run low on other natural resources will it be okay to invade them too? Just because a resource is valuable and high priced not mean it is used a "WMED"."

I still think the world sees this invasion as another step
in securing for ourselves strategic places for military
bases and low cost energy. Everything else all
conveiniently fits along with our story...

It's a win-win situation for President Cheney and his
buddies."

"I notice a lot of republicans often walking around like they just ate a bitter sour pickle. Their faces are often all puckered and tight lipped. (You know, almost like that odd face that Shrub makes when he's searching for a two syllable word to say. Sorta like that.)"

<I said this about scott & his buddies>........
"I've seen more civil behavior from monkeys in
trees shrieking at the top of their lungs while throwing
their feces at each other."

Clappy replied..........

"Our president and his administration should know better than to devise policy based upon the above. The only difference is that their feces have sophisticated electronics attached to it that make them smart-feces, right?"

"Yeah I think the band is rounded out by a few other top
notch musicians. There's Tommy "Color Code" Ridge on the keyboard. On the horn you got Spastic Colin Powell. And the strung out lead singer is Georgie "Hide The Blow" Bush. They've been trying to get him to play an instrument but
can't seem to figure out all the note configurations on that triangle yet."

"many see the fact that there are a lot of ties with the
adminstation and the companies who will benefit in the nation building/rebuilding."

"In addition many see the rush having to do with the election clock. Does the 2004 election weigh higher than the lives of our troops and Iraqi children? One may believe the administration sees it that way."

"Will lowered oil help put a bandaid on our economy for a brief time period before the election? Possibly. Will the tax cuts? Possibly. Is there any thought about the current deficit? Not now."

"Does this administration's thinking appear to be trying to find a solution that benefits themselves? Possibly.
The world now sees us as a bully instead the great country we are. "

"To them we don't appear to wise and caring. Perhaps we are een as greedy. We are positioning ourselves in a strategic manner to ensure energy cost will remain low. In addition it gives us the illusion that we have illiminated the threat of terrorism. "

"Now I realize that the top brass see the importance of us building bases in the mid east. Perhaps much of this has to do with an attempt to better position ourselves against China."

"I think the world sees our disguised security attempts to be aimed more at positioning against our competition. After all National Security makes it all seem like a legitimate reason to do things we ordinarily would not be able to get away with."

"But right now I don't see how we are doing anything other than divide a world that appeared to be all growing together."

<ajonesy said> "When will Dubya realize that he is on a chessboard not a checkerboard?

clappy replied

"That is an excellent way of describing it. "

<Then Chris Considine said> "Problem is, Cheney won't tell him how to play Chess..... Bush just keeps yelling KING ME!"

And clappy replied

"Bush just keeps yelling KING ME! LOL!"

'nuff said for sure!

<<You are a broken record Tim.
You are the only person on SI who does not understand
what many people have tried to tell you.

I was happy that it appeared we were finished with this
conversation. But you just don't seem to get the point and
you probably never will due to your hard headedness.

I've tried to be polite about it but now I think I'll
simply try my best to ignore you. You place far too much
importance in your crusade to tell people what they feel
is wrong.

You drone on and write diatribes on what you think is
correct and feel that no one is allowed to feel differently.

You are becoming quite a bore. Many people are being
polite about it but try not to push them too far.
Otherwise you will find yourself all alone.

Good luck in your valiant crusade to to correct the
injustices of opinion. In your world there must not be many
things of higher importance.

Clappy, excellent post. Couldn't have written it better myself. It really is a shame that Tim just does not get it. he does not see what others clearly see, and so many people have the same opinion of him, can they all be wrong, and he is right? I don't think so.

Hope you have been well, Keith
