I think that advice is a much better way to prevent future repeat events than tossing people in jail. Clearly there were things done by both the night club and the band that led to the disaster. There will also need to be some sort of compensation to those families who lost loved ones (not that it will ever replace the victims). But in the final analysis our goal now has to be on prevention of another incident more so than prosecution.

I read an article on this tragedy last month is Rolling Stone....the people up front were waiting for the staff to show up with fire extinguishers, which would have ended it all in seconds...they never came

and some first hand reports told of people, 30+ piled in the doorway and no way to climb over..those stuck in the pile were doomed

makes one think about those "intimate" shows in dives
