Of course the whole thing is a fait accompli now. And we will live with the results of it for years to come.

yes well it certainly is a fact of history that those who cannot live in the present are doomed to repeat the past ....

you might want to update yourself X.

I also feel that even if we are morally right it is unwise
to enter a conflict where the price will be too high.
I feel that with NKorea and China too many would die.
I had no way to be sure what would happen with Iraq,
that is why I have never assumed it would be a cakewalk.
However, IMO the risk was higher if we did nothing.

It is in US self-interests that the EU, China, Russia
and the US can use their collective power to solve problems, instead selling to rogue nations weapons to
undermine each other.

<< Some of those countries have worse records than Iraq. That poses a problem when you want to use the Iraqi human rights record as a justification for invasion. It is not logical. >>

Are you saying that you would want Saddam to continue torturing his people because he has not killed as many as China has? How many more would you want Saddam to gas before you would invade?

How many more Iraqis do you want to suffer or to be butchered before you would want Saddam stopped? Please be logical with your answer. <g>
