You may think you were hiding your thoughts behind your questions, but it was obvious what you were thinking.

In the interest of not further bloating the thread with this, I will bow to your superior knowledge of my inner thoughts.

BTW, what am I thinking now?

Hi Bill, as a few of us said months ago. It didn't really matter whether every fear of the anti-war crowd was completely unfounded. They will never admit they were wrong, just as they will never admit they were wrong about Reagan's successful foreign policy endeavors.

Millions of decent people are now free to chart their own course. Millions have been released from a living hell. Millions now have the opportunity to hope and build a better future for their children. Millions!

Yet, we still hear the searching empty cries of "it was a small crowd", or "the humanitarian effort is a failure". Who really cares what the size of the crowd was anyway? It should be obvious to anyone watching events unfold in Iraq, that those hundreds of people represented millions of other Iraqi citizens!

The people of Iraq by a vast majority have welcomed the troops as liberators. Just think about it. A foreign entity has taken over their nation, they don't speak the same language, live by the same culture, or have the same background. Yet, the universal language of liberty, speaks so loudly they've welcomed an invading force of foreigners.

These are truly historic times! Times of great hope, great beginnings, and great vision. George W. Bush has demonstrated that universal values still exist, and still shape the world on a scale which is truly profound.

The world has now changed, and even the muslim press is beginning to come to terms with it.

I have a dance partner who started "lurking" on this thread last week. I told her that when she reads my posts here she was "reading my mind." And that is true for all of us. Your thinking is exposed. I refer to it as a "thought print."

Bill, let me disagree, ever so slightly. I think I see what you are getting at but, as usual, I think it's a bit more complicated. For most of us we have a thread "persona" that may or may not be coincidental with the personality of the person. An illustration. As you know, I know some few of the thread participants personally. We've talked about other SI participants one or the other knows personally. And one of the constants is the degree to which the thread persona differs from the in person persona. I'm certain that varies from person to person, but I find it helps to keep that in mind.

I recognize that "persona" is different from "thoughts" but the notion of a bit of distance is the same.

Moreover, one more thought. When you recharacterize my thoughts to someone else, you are, almost inevitably, more than slightly wrong. I get reduced to a binary form of myself; which is not my self. Nor my thoughts.

Just a friendly thought.
