Whats wrong with the current A10 Warthog? Seems to me to be a formidable ground support aircraft. Incidentally, the Marine Air has ALWAYS provided CLOSE air support for the troops. I remember when I was in Nam they flew over us SO LOW the air pressure would KNOCK US DOWN. When they are that close to the ground you dont even know they are coming until they are RIGHT over your head, then its too late to duck. haha. jdn
