It's not the same difference at all, Joe.

It's a post, burried in a thread that I would imagine most people on this site have never read.

You said that he sent everyone a PM. That's just plain false.

Most users of SI probably do not yet know that the site has been sold. There has been no general notice made to members.

It's the same as posting a notice of new ownership of a resturant underneath the table of Booth 23. (Stuck on with the chewing gum already available at the site...)

Or, at least, addressed to you personally??
Then again... sending out the same message to everyone might be considered by some to be in the line of a promotion and call it SPAM..
