<<Prop 13 is middle class and upper class welfare...>>

Ahhhh... Have we now moved from calling Prop 13 a young vs. old issue to calling it a poor vs. rich issue?

Hmmm...

<<...just talk to all the people in Austin who pay 50K a year property tax because they live in 2 million-dollar homes. then talk to the people in California who pay 2K a year to live in similarly valued homes. you will notice that one group is receiving state welfare for the rich.>>

Hmmm. State welfare for the rich? Let me guess. California has higher state income taxes than Texas, so the person living in the 2 million-dollar house in Texas pays much less income taxes than the person in a 2 million dollar house in California. So Texas must be the state giving welfare to the rich!!! Am I right? :)
