Nothing surprises me with Hamas. It is very difficult to understand why anyone with a mind would heed anything any of the Hamas folks say....

IF NOT, don't be surprised to see the Israelis step up their attacks on Hamas leadership

IF NOT, don't be surprised to see political donations to the Repupblican Party from friends of Israel suddenly dry up combined with a sharp increase in reported rumors and scandal involving Republicans in Washington. That would turn around Bush's peace initiative faster than anything else I know.

Hawk,
What do we suppose Bush is really telling sharon today? I suspect more of those outposts will be evacuated and more Hamas leaders will be killed.
Also the Hashemite return to iraq is not a surprise to me. King Husseins brother was at the initial meetings of saddam opponents long before the war. The theory du jour was that the Hashemites would leave Jordan to the Palestinians(hopefully mostly moderates in Jordan) and move to iraq or their would some time of jordan/iraq confederation to give Sunni Arabs more power vis a vis shiites and kurds.
In any case Iraq is made for a constitutional monarchy. Mike
