Wells Fargo is very aggressive in soliciting refinancings with existing customers. This is done at FNM/FRE expense. I'm amazed that FNM/FRE haven't instituted some policy against "serial refinancers".

My brother got one of those from Wells Fargo just two days after submitting an online (but uncommitted) application to Ing Direct. He took the Wells Fargo offer. He was rather surprised that it showed up just then (about two weeks ago).

edit: his old mortgate was not with Wells Fargo

over that amount of time shouldn't they have dropped more if you got 4.75 -- month ago -- guess you floated the rate until close??
