Just like your president, as you have so aptly put, YOU are also seeing what you want to see. I am truly saddened by this, I honestly thought better of you. This is self-delusion, pure and simple. For all the crap happening in the world, Iraq could do worse (saddam as one example) by an american invasion What conceited, self-righteous, holier-than-thou crap. The natives are so much better under the rule of their new masters, hm? Do you or do you not realize that the issue here is not even whether or not the Iraqis are "better off"? It is that YOUR PRESIDENT LIED TO YOU and put you in a WAR that cost HUMAN LIVES on both sides. Are you capable of understanding this? Question: How would you feel if you lost your son in Iraq, finding out shortly thereafter that Bush lied with those "tons and tons of WMDs" through which he portrayed Iraq as a grave danger to the US? I bet you wouldn't be so forgiving of his "seeing what he wanted to see" etc etc I think what's happened to Iraq is a good thing. And I think I can't take more of this "being invaded by us is a blessing for those sand niggers" attitude. And I think you need to get off your high pedestal and look around a bit. People died. For what? For Bush's personal vedetta, or more money for Halliburton? What?

you may think their future is brighter now, but it is very possible it isn't. The Shiites (majority) have some real problems with the Suni Arabs- and the Suni Kurds want a separate homeland. It is very possible that the situation will become a US manufactured Iraq Balkanization. You seem not to realize that in some places a strong authoritarian regime is the only way to keep down ancient clan type hatreds that Americans have a really hard time understanding. Those hatreds caused the ethnic cleansings in the Balkans, and were totally due to the removal of the heavy fist of the USSR on the region. It is possible, of course, that these rival factions will find common unity in hating Americans- but I doubt that will fit in well with your cheery little picture for the region. If the region descends into chaos, or there are major atrocities, or they become an Iran style religious state (which could be far more problematic for the region and the world than Saddam) I hope you will remember how very wrong you were.
