"More good news coming" seems to make me ask, what do you mean? Q2 results don't seem to be something to crow about.

I think the Q2 CC bears out that CHKP has been in transition to a subscription model for a couple of years. They finally made a point of spelling this out. This means lower flatter earnings. They are finally trying to sell this point as a success, which tells me there is little left to spin. This fully explains CHKP chart for the last 2 years. Up till now they have had everyone expecting new growth right around the corner.

I'm not saying subscription is bad, but a far cry from the go-go days of a few years ago. A time now distantly removed.

Other negatives:
1. 20% tax rate coming up (was 4%in 1999, when growth was king)
2. Negative exchange rate effects from sinking dollar.
3. Competition ?

I think CHKP share price will remain under pressure for some time to come. Tech stocks like a growth story, not a flattening story.

I reiterate this post: Message 18844504

PM you said, "More good news should come after the earning numbers announce."

Please explain what this was to mean?

And this good news was to be on top of what other good news?? Please tell us what the first good news was too?

Be a man and qualify your remarks.

Thanks.
