If the economy doesn't get better it doesn't mean the tax cuts didn't work. If it does get better that wouldn't mean they did work. The measure of working is if the economy is better with the tax cuts then it would have been without them. That calls for speculation even after the fact.

Cut through the fog...the bottom line is that he promised that the tax cuts would stimulate the economy and create jobs. If the economy does not improve and jobs continue to be lost, bush will take the blame as he should.

Bush's one and only economic plan is the tax cuts. If they dont work, he wont deserve re-election, especially when he was warned by hundreds of experts that his particular tax cuts were not the best way to fix the economy. His job is to make things better, now give away our money to the rich and special interests.

I see! Actually, that's about as clear as mud.

Let me simplify......Bush said the tax cuts will restart the economy. If the economy does not restart, then the tax cuts failed and either Bush lied or was misinformed. Pretty much like normal!
