A friend of mine is a top laser physicist. At a recent diner party he told me he and all his laser expert colleagues absolutely KNOW that SDI doesn't work, isn't close to working and "have nothing" in terms of technology capable of doing what they claim. Therefore, Rumsfield is full of it. It's his baby and it's our money. Tens of billions which may be completely wasted.
