I've talked with Vietnamese people here in Houston. I guess their view is invalid IYO.

it was not at all like you say.........

the North Viet. were told to go to the South and fight the invaders, their freedom was never in question.

the whole point, misguided as it was by the McNamara boys, was to keep the North and the Communist backed Ho Chi Minh from taking over all of South Vietnam....

The NVA and the people of the North were never threatened by US forces until they willingly entered the conflict to assist the South.

Yes millions of South Viet. were willing to die for their country and did......it is pretty much recorded history that at least 50% of the South Viet deaths were at the hands of their own countrymen, the Viet Cong.

I don't care how many TV sets you sell in Asia, you don't have a clue.
