The dems tried to recall Reagan twice when he was gov. The fact is that the law provides for a recall in CA. If there was sufficient public sentiment desiring its removal from the books, it should be easy enough to change the law.....

<< Recently, it was proven that Enron and other companies did game the market out here. >>

The glaring lack of a reasonable energy policy in Calif allowed Enron to do this.

Can you name one other state that was skewered with such high bills and rolling brown outs?

It's a shame the enviros and not-in-my-backyard techie millionaires were able to prevent any new power plants from being built in Calif during the nineties, a period when the ecomnomic growth and increases in electricity consumption Calif were skyrocketing.

well, the way its looking right now at this moment, is that the repoobs as we like to call them are getting ready to commit political suicide again, because McClintock refuses to endorse Arnold. Davis will probably keep his job if that happens. I wonder if that Issa guy who funded this thinks he got his money's worth.

>>Davis is not my favorite GOv but I do think he deserves the right to finish his term.<<

he may well, but the citizens of california don't deserve it.

he's wrecked energy. he's wrecked the budget. he's wrecked workers' comp - it is absolutely a nightmare when workers' comp wants 26% of payroll - you heard that right! - for relatively safe work.

i'm not concerned about davis and his rights.

he's the largest PIMP out there... prostituting out california for his own personal gain (remember the ILLEGAL TOXIC WASTE IN SAN FRAN BAY he let slide after a DONATION?).

well, the hos have had enough!

>>I think we will be setting a bad precedence if we recall him. Each party will be likely to try it again and again....................<<

they have been already! it is just that NOBODY has PIMPED california so badly and treated their hos so badly before.

this is the first time a recall election has gotten this far and i think there have 30-40 tries - the dems tried twice against reagan!

>>it's a waste of money unless there were " high crimes" committed.<<

goodness, gracious. wasted money? no governor in the history of the WORLD has wasted more money that davis. the recall money is SOME OF THE BEST MONEY EVER SPENT by californians. spending $50 million to save untold $10s of billions is smart!

>>I do think he stood up to the energy companies during the "crisis".<<

you are killing me! they padded his pockets and now california pays double and triple fair market value for the next decade! he stoo dup for his pockets and whored out californian's pocketbooks!

>>He did negotiate a bad deal with them<<

how, EXACTLY, is that standing up to them? if it was so bad, why did davis go public and say what a GREAT DEAL it was the week after he signed it?

>>but had to do something in order to keep companies from bailing.<<

"something" ain't what california needs. any jack*ss can do "something." we need a guy who whore out the entire state for a couple hundred grand.

>>Recently, it was proven that Enron and other companies did game the market out here.<<

of ocurse they did. you know what? who implemented the "gaming" system? i'm sorry, but he was inept for allowing a system that could be "gamed" so easily. that's like blaming a fox for eating a hen after you put the fox in the hen house.

blaming the fox misses the point. the IDIOT that threw the fox in the hen house is *really* to blame.

>>Ca citizens will be getting rebates on those high bills.<<

ROTFLMAO! you are kidding, right?

>>Many things Davis did were not to my liking but I don't believe it's a healthy thing to recall any elected official unless he or she committed " high crimes and misdemeanors".<<

i consider sabotaging the states budget and ability to do business as just that. yes, he's done EXACTLY that.

>>Political parties are now experimenting with ways to change elections they didn't win.<<

rotflmao! i'm no republican. i'm no democrat. did you b* about this law when they tried to recall reagan twice? or is this just a "sure, he's PIMPING the state, but he's MY PIMP so i support him" kind of thing.

this has been tried 30, 40, 50 times before. it was never a big issue. until davis - the single worst governor california has ever had by a factor of about 5.

it won't be an issue again unless someone jacks the state again. your attempt to rouse FEAR as though the game has suddenly changed WHEN IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN LIKE THIS is noted.
