If you even have to ask the question, especially in the light of the aftermath of the US turning tail in Vietnam and the human tragedy of epic proportion which followed, then you will never understand the answer.....

Of course, I want the USA to remain strong. Ordinarily, I would not care about the "view" that we are "turning tail" or not. It is a very different argument than in Viet Nam. Now we have terrorist organizations around the world rising up to join the fray. They are not going to call it quits if the USA decides to pull out. They have shown that they are committed enemies until the end of time. We have a responsibility to remain strong and to hold our ground in the face of this challenge.
