I dont think Americans have anything against French people per se, but your leader seems to be a HORSES ASS. He dreams of a France with more world power then frankly they probably deserve while Bush dreams of world peace which will only be achieved if the middle east can be changed to a democratic region. Why he wants to undercut Bush and America is beyond me. He ought to want to work TOGETHER as a team and quit worrying about who gets credit for what. Plenty of credit to go around if this were to be a successful endeavor.
Incidentally, I just returned from a Western USA trip and found many German and quite few French tourists here in USA. JDN

There's a little something called global recession these days, as you may have noticed
Oh, there's a bit more than that involved.

Although, in my humble opinion, a little childish to single out and demonize a country who just disagreed, along with Germany, Russia
Germany has not spent the last 40 years stabbing us in the back. Nor "everyone else", mostly.
Gernmany has been a good ally most of that time. Quite different from the frogs.
Russia has a new gov't that hasn't established its record yet.

from a nation that gave us "freedom fries"
Were it not for that nation, do you think you would be speaking German or Russian now?

2/3 of Iraqis believe removal of Saddam was worth the price and expect their lives will be better in 5 years. Tell THAT to the French.
