"You know I have always tried to be honest with you and open about my life," Limbaugh said. "So I need to tell you today that part of what you have heard and read is correct. I am addicted to prescription pain medication."

What a "great American" as bush (another great American) observes...what a noble act to come foward in the vein of (Roy Black $800/hour) honesty...yeah... now that he is caught red handed he cries Jimmy Swaggart tears....and millions of fools readily swallow his pathetic confession...their other unpleasant choice of course is to admit that they have spent hundreds of hours listening to a law breaking fraud.

Let me guess his recommendation if the same stuff happened to a "liberal" pontificator: Lock him up for 20 years at a south Florida work farm.

Has Limbaugh ever suggested we should "lock up" drug addicts? Admittedly, I seldom catch his show these days, but I don't remember him ever suggesting we should do this.

RE:"My advice, move back to the west coast, where the traffic is nasty but not insane."

John, I suspect you understand better my concern about the influx of people into Florida! <G>

Looks like the Marlins are in a slump and are now on the ropes. If the Cubs win I sure as heck will root for them vs the Yankees!

RE:" Poor Rush, another victim. His anti-drug, pro self reliance rhetoric looks a bit silly now. By his own standards, he is one of the blood sucking slobs of society. He's just an act. Rush Limbaugh isn't even his real name.
OTOH, people do get addicted to pain killers...
I doubt he'll do time for a victimless crime. He's already checked into rehab. He's already said he's NO hero.

My advice, move back to the west coast, where the traffic is nasty but not insane.

John, I hope you mean the west coast of FLA and not CA. CA's traffic is beyond insane. <g>

Go Cubs...

And the Sox. Now that would be a great Series!

EDIT: Poor Rush, another victim. His anti-drug, pro self reliance rhetoric looks a bit silly now. By his own standards, he is one of the blood sucking slobs of society. Let me guess his recommendation if the same stuff happened to a "liberal" pontificator: Lock him up for 20 years at a south Florida work farm.

That would be AFTER he went on ad nauseum about how weak the liberal addict is. But who needs Rush, the addict.......we have our own version of Rush right on this thread. ;~))

JF, By his own standards, he is one of the blood sucking slobs of society.

He never said he was entitled to rehab from the government. He also said that he was not making himself out to be a victim.

On the other hand, his admission does cast suspicion on his deafness (physical, not the kind Al Franken might accuse him of) and weight loss.
