res- I was once the chief architect of an online wineseller! A few years ago, funnest job I ever had.

That does sound like a fun job!

The reason I thought about wine was because I've been trying to ship some wine back to the states to a friend (legally), and it's a pain in the backside! The problem I have is I bought the wines individually over the course of a few months, so I have to ship it myself.

I may end up labelling the box corn syrup or something and shipping it anyway.

My posts next week may be from the local jail. :)

Thanks for that background on wine distribution, Lizzy... Do you know if the taxes apply just to CA wines produced and sold in CA, or to CA wines sold in other states, or to all wines from wherever coming into CA.......

or all of the above?

... where an amazing 30% of revenue comes from alcohol "transport" taxes
