I even said so.
My objection was the "stupidest thing ever".

I bet you have seen 100 stupider things in person.

It was a good decision. If for no other reason, it was a psychologically offensive decision that served to motivate the Marlins and, perhaps, psych-out those damn yankees: "we're coming into your ballpark and we're gonna finish it". It is certainly the best "absolutely stupid" decision I have seen in a number of years. -g/ng

In the end, Beckett pitched well enough. The yankees didn't hit. The Marlins were handed a couple of slim opportunities and they made the best of them.
