Do you think the terrorist situation is going to IMPROVE if the US pulls out of Iraq now, leaving chaos? Things would improve if the U.S. pulled out of Iraq now leaving in charge some who are not trying to loot the country . It may not be possible for another group like the U.N. or the Arab League to settle the country, but it's defininetly not possible for the U.S. to win under it's currnent leadership and processes. Your last statement is easiest to refute. What you mean is "throwing money to Halliburton and other well connected companies for reconstruction will solve the problem." Is that what you meant? That is a disgrace. Cheney lied and said he was not being compensated by Halliburton...and his OWN OFFICE had to retract it and admit he will be getting "deferred compensation." No conflict there I guess. I was just referring to your "strong military" comment, as if that is the end all of every problem. We need "smarter" not "bigger." Who is doing the reconstruction....the very last people who have the training to do it...the military. That is why, correctly, Condoleeza is now in charge OVER the Sec'y of Defense for this effort.

That's normally known as guerrilla warfare, isn't it? What you're doing is giving it the White House spin to keep the false association to 9-11 in the public mind.
