Actually I think we need to roll back the tax cuts, cut some social services, and cut much of the "pork" that has slipped through recently. We have to slow the growth of the cost of government, which has taken off since Clinton left office.

Remember, what was it 3 or 4 years ago, Congress had some kind of madated restraints on spending? A senior moment, I sincerely can remember what they were. And I don't know why they went away.

Meanwhile, you're focused on Iraq because it's an easy target.

That's backpedaling if I ever heard it. Even if there were nothing else wrong, and there is, this one would be huge!
