As of 2000 about $.86 back for every dollar sent in. Tied with New York. Correct about the relationship but incorrect about the ratio.

THANK GOD FOR PROP 13!

That's nothing, though, compared to Gloucester County in New Jersey, where the increase from 2002 to 2003 was more than 25%. In Massachusetts, meanwhile, a Boston Globe article explains that "Massachusetts residents experienced the largest two-year increase in property taxes in a dozen years as cities and towns struggled to make up for a slowdown in state aid between 2001 and 2003." Atlanta is currently facing increased property taxes, as are Berkeley, Ca., and countless other municipalities.

Yeah. But they can't go up 25% in Berzerkeley.

Unless the socialist there managed to slip one past the productive citizens.

Lizzie, have you noticed EVERY specific you mention is the FAULT of POOR ACCOUNTING for funds in California, possibly even FRAUD. We do have RULES for dispensing MY MONEY to the unwashed masses. You follow them or you lose. Thats the way the game is played, seems you feel Calif. should get SPECIAL TREATMENT. Not me, control your fraud, your fraudulent attorneys etc etc then come down and talk to us in Washington. Hopefully Arnold will KICK SOME ASS. jdn
