If we have a strong economy heading into the 2004 elections and decent job growth (which is bound to happen
if the economy remains this strong) then Bush will probably
get reelected current polls not withstanding. So the best
hope for the democrats is if the economy weakens next year
a scenario which seems to be unlikely at this juncture.
